There has been a trend in recent years whereby some organisers and sponsors appear content to give away cheap totes to delegates instead of giving away smart and desirable bags. Of course, the sponsor may be saving a few hundred pounds but do they realise that cheap bags with little thought about the quality and style end up in the bin.
We recently asked a venue hotel to tell us about the rubbish collected from attendee rooms after the event. It was both revealing and depressing. The bins were filled with cheap totes and workshop materials.
An ugly bag filled with lame, useless things will end up in the nearest bin when no one’s looking. A functional, stylish conference bag filled with functional promo gifts can make a strong first impression so sharpen up before your next event. Do not underestimate the marketing power of a stylish conference bag.

Many of you will already know Kate as your Account Manager. She started with Nexus in 2008 as a trainee Account Assistant and now is the “go to” person for any branded goods, especially last minute bag orders!
Kate’s role sees her heavily involved in the day to day management of the Print Schedule as well as working alongside many clients from enquiry through to delivery, organising branded delegate bags, lanyards and a vast array of other promo gifts.
